Prospective Postdocs

For prospective postdoctoral researchers, an excellent track record proven by high-quality journal publications is necessary. I successfully won three Newton International Fellowships and four Marie Sklodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships for some outstanding candidates. I will be happy to support competitive fellowship applications. Information about some of the fellowships can be found via the following links:

If you are interested in applying for any of these Research Fellowships and developing a research proposal, please contact me well before the deadline.

Prospective Research Students

Partial or full funding is often available for home or EU students wanting to pursue a PhD. Funding for foreign students is also available occasionally (please contact us if you are interested). Applications on my research interests are always welcome. Please see my publications and also visit the research web-site of the Division of Infrastructure & Environment for other related projects. Prospective students:
  • must be very highly motivated
  • should have a strong background in mathematics and computer programming
  • should have excellent academic record (2.1 and above)
Please look at the University's Postgraduate Prospectus: https://www.gla.ac.uk/prospectuses/postgraduate/.

You can also apply on-line from this web page:

Below are some links for potential scholarships you may find useful:

If I select your project, I will help you apply for one of these prestigious scholarships.
