My group focuses on micro- and nanofabrication for a range of biological and medical applications. We apply a combination of electron beam lithography and nanoimprint lithography for mastering. The preparation of samples is done by injection moulding in a wide range of materials. The injection moulding facility is entirely run by the group.

One of our key research areas is the use of nanopatterned surfaces to control stem cell differentiation. Our work recently featured on the BBC.

A free book chapter describing some of our technology is available here.
